Sony SL-HF2000 Super Beta Betamax HiFi Stereo VCR Player – NRMT but needs help**

We are very motivated sellers and want to pass along great deals. Selling off some of my “toys”. This auction is for: ..a vintage Sony SL-HF2000 Super Beta Betamax HiFi Stereo VCR Player -Its been in my family since new. As pics show its in NRMT condition. I unwrapped a new beta tape and when I tried to put it in, it goes in , but doesnt “drop down” and then machine spits it out. I decided to take off cover to diagnose/inspect. It looks perfectly clean, well greased and nothing seems blatantly broken. When I lifted the player, I heard a small “rattle’…Somethings loose in there…gently turned it over and gave light shaking till the “metal dowel” dropped out from inside. AHAH !! the culprit. I took a video of the process and show that 1″ or so metal “rod/pin”. It looks like the pin thats need to trigger the tape guard release mechanism on the beta tape itself?? I’m not an expert on Sony VCR’s, Just 60 yrs of age and kind of do “everything”….Not sure why that came loose. Maybe someone tried to force in a bad tape at one time?? Either way, I’m selling as is for parts repair. I took a video showing what its doing, and show the “pin” that needs to be repaired. Pin will of course come with the unit. I did not locate the remote, not sure if we still have it. If it turns up while listed, it will be included, no guarantees though. Again…this unit basically looks quite new, and needs a repair. See video and ask questions as there will be NO RETURNS, NO EXCEPTIONS…..NO SCAMMERS….Ebay, did you see what I wrote?? This is for parts or repair with NO RETURNS. Sony collectors know whats what, so This notice of NO RETURNS is for only the scammers out there.
